Kathryn Elizabeth Novak is from Sarasota, Florida and works at Sarasota Memorial Hospital as a Medical Coder. She is also studying Microblading and Semi-Permanent Makeup including 3-D Areola Tattooing and Lip Blushing. She is taking prerequisite courses and hopes to attend Nursing School at the University of Florida. Katie enjoys anything artistic, such as drawing, crocheting, painting, and rhinestoning, reading, and spending time with her family. Michael Chad Thaysen is from Ocala, Florida but now resides in Sarasota. He is President of Ocala Steel, works as a Multi Skilled Tech at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and also hopes to attend Nursing School at the University of Florida. Mike enjoys gaming, working out, writing, and drawing.

Katie and Mike met online on January 7, 2022 and began having daily conversations. They met up in Ocala on February 4th, 2022 where they spent the evening eating vegan pizza, watching wrestling, and talking until the sun came up. Katie loved Mike's adorable, genuine laugh and everything they had in common, and he loved everything about her. Her personality, her values, and her intelligence. It was love at first sight. They began dating exclusively the very next day after seeing the new Spiderman.

In their five months of dating, the pair spent every weekend together whether it was in Ocala, Sarasota or on one of their mini vacations. They spent two fun days at Universal Studios and Volcano Bay in Orlando and they also went to a Post Malone concert at the Hard Rock Hotel in Miami. Weekends at home were filled with spending quality time together, some Painting With a Twist sessions, learning about one another, meeting each other's loved ones, and growing in love.

Katie and Mike got engaged at Zota Beach Resort on Longboat Key on July 1, 2022 after a tasty meal at Tripletail. They both wrote each other a love letter and drew one another a drawing representing the other. Mike got down on one knee and asked Katie to marry her. She said yes!
